Have a death wish? take Adam Air!

Before, during , and after my trip to Indonesia I kept hearing stories about all of the transportation accidents that happen in Jakarta. The one that happened before my trip was the crash of an Adam Air flight that crashed on New Years killing everyone aboard. The next one was during my trip when a routine flight on an Adam Air jet landed hard cracking the whole damn plane (see left)... Anyone see a trend here?

After I left Jakarta there was another accident, this time with Garuda Airlines. Hopefully the government will step up one day and help regulate the industry to prevent further disasters from occurring.

I'm Indonesian, but I don't want to fly with Adam Air!
My brother's friend was a pilot for Adam Air and he strongly encouraged us not take Adam Air unless he's flying the plane, he said that it's a flying coffin. Luckily he's not in Adam Air anymore.

I also had unpleasant service from Air Asia.
They rescheduled my flight without my permission, I ended up waiting in the airport for more than 3 hours.

To make matters worse, as I was travelling home from Bali to Jakarta, they allowed the passengers to board the plane while they're still refuelling!

I didn't know that of course, until the stewardess announced "ladies and gentlemen, please do not fasten your seatbelt as we are now refuelling."
I was like, WTF?! Why did they allow us on board?

Needless to say, that it was my first and last to fly with Air Asia.
